Halloween is right around the corner and while it’s adorable to see the little ones dressed up and walking around in their costumes, if your children are still babies, too small to walk around on their own, or just game to be a part of your costume with you, it’s a great chance for you to get in on the dress-up costume fun too!
The solution? Coordinate your costumes so they are each a part of the other, and go as a set.
Here are some ideas to help you get in the spirit together.
Parent/Adult and Baby
These ideas work best if you have a baby or little one you’ll be carrying around.
Chef and Lobster
Don your chef’s attire and stick your little lobster in a pot to carry around.
Banker (or Robber) and Moneybags
Bonus points for being to carry two bags of loot at once!
Tooth fairy and Tooth
How awesome would this be though?
Popeye and Can of Spinach
Perfect for your newborn’s first Halloween.
Headless Horseman and Head
Maybe a little gruesome, but if you’re going to be carrying the kid around under your arm anyway….
Snow White and Apple
People will love it when they get it.
Beekeeper and Bee(s)
The perfect costume for your little bee as you walk around holding him or her all night.
Parent/Adult and Multiple Kids
These costume ideas would be especially good if you have multiple kids of your own or you’ll be taking neighbors’, friends’, or family’s kids around with you.
Snow White and Dwarf (Dwarves)
Imagine all the little dwarves running around!
Willy Wonka and Oompa Loompa(s)
Arguably, EVEN better than the dwarves.
Charlie Brown and Snoopy (and friends – Woodstock, etc.)
Everyone’s hearts will melt when they see your little Snoopy running around you.
Parent/Adult and Kid
These costumes can be fun with kids of almost any age, but especially that are smaller than you.
Peter Pan and Shadow
Could be a little bit of a challenge to pull off and make sure people get it – but if they do, they’ll love it!
Harry Potter and Dobby
Who doesn’t love a little magic and a loyal little house elf?
Luke Skywalker and Yoda
Timeless classic. ‘Nuff said.
Elliott and ET
Man in the Yellow Hat and Curious George
Walking around holding hands or giving your kid a piggyback ride will look awesome.
Big Bad Wolf and Little Red Riding Hood
How adorable will Little Red Riding Hood look when juxtaposed a massive, imposing, much larger big bad wolf?
Alice and White Rabbit
Don’t be late to your very important Halloween costume date!
A Few Classic Pairings
All conveniently sized just perfect for you and your pint-sized little one.
Shaggy and Scooby Doo
If you have a kid who’s a bit taller…
Scooby Doo and Scrappy
If you have a kid who’s not as tall!
Dorothy and Toto
Don’t let all those witches out there on Halloween get you – or your little dog too!
Peter Pan and Tinkerbell
This has potential to be really adorable.
Luigi and Mario
Another classic pairing.
C3PO and R2D2
With a little imagination and some good costume-making skills (or purchase), this Halloween could be a lot of fun for you and your little one(s) this year!
