Health & Safety

Kids’ Work Chicago was proud to serve children of essential workers during the COVID-19 crisis and now has extended their services to include care for all families

In response to the need for additional health and safety precautions, we have put the following proactive protocols in place designed to keep all of our students, families, and teachers safe.

We adhere to the 100.4 temperature threshold. Before returning to care, children must remain symptom-free and medication-free for 48 hours and provide a doctor's note. If a doctor requests a COVID test, negative PCR results will also be required.

To minimize the introduction of germs, we've always had a no-street-shoes policy; staff and students remove their "outdoor shoes" upon arrival and change into their "indoor shoes."

Currently, parents drop off and pick up their child at their child's classroom door, but only teachers and students enter the classroom. This helps to minimize close contact and germ spread.

Temperature checks are performed at least 3 times a day to ensure children are for group care. We perform temperature checks when children and teachers arrive, around noon and then again at 4 pm.

We launder infant crib sheets daily, and cot sheets are washed every other day. Staff are provided optional clean scrubs to change into upon arrival, and are cleaned daily onsite as well.

All meals and snacks are provided in-house to minimize potential home to school transfer of germs.

Our center's shared surfaces and spaces are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized throughout the day with deep cleanings happening each evening and weekend.

All toys, manipulatives, and equipment are systematically cleaned and sanitized throughout the day and between uses.

High priority is placed on frequency and proper technique of hand-washing upon arrival and throughout the day.

Kids’ Work Chicago is a unique early learning facility featuring individual classroom environments allowing for the increased separation of groups or “PODS” called for during this time of added precaution.

With private on-site indoor large-muscle and outdoor playground spaces, children have ample room to move, explore, and enjoy healthy fresh air while keeping within their POD groups and the most up to date Covid-19 health and safety requirements.

Our highly qualified and caring staff members go above and beyond for our students and their families in delivering a clean, safe, and healthy learning environment.

We have always been clean, but now we SPARKLE!

Safely navigating the post Covid-19
