We are seeking applicants who want work with a supportive and organized team in a kitchen/ housekeeping role where they can positively impact little learners’ lives. Pay ranges vary by role and experience: $17.25 – $18.25

Full-Time Schedules, center open between 7:30 am – 6:30 pm

Monday – Friday

No Nights or Weekends

Your Daily Responsibilities Include:

This job requires exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Organizing, preparing, handling, and serving catered meals in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.

  • Organizing meals for each classroom, coordinating specific student dietary and medical restrictions
  • Safely cutting and preparing foods as required by the different classroom age groups
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary workspace through strict adherence to our policies and procedures
  • Managing kitchen supplies and food storage, communicating needs with administration and keeping track of food expiration dates
  • Completing the required documentation for various tasks and workflows
  • Complying with all aspects of Food Handling Safety, including required gloves, hairnets, etc.
  • Handling cleaning chemicals and cleaning supplies
    Assisting with sorting, washing, drying, folding, and returning laundry, toys, and dishes
  • Complete required food/safety trainings and yearly professional development

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Must meet all DCFS requirements, including passing background checks.
  • Able to stand for long periods, frequently walk, sit on the floor and play with children, and lift a 40lb child in an emergency.
  • This is a physically ACTIVE role.
