Health and Safety
Measures
Here at Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview, we pride ourselves in creating an incredibly organized and safe environment. We have numerous proactive protocols in place designed to keep all of our students, families, and teachers safe.
We adhere to the 100.4 temperature threshold. Before returning to care, children must remain symptom-free and medication-free for 24 hours.
To minimize the introduction of germs, we've always had a no-street-shoes policy; staff and students remove their "outdoor shoes" upon arrival and change into their "indoor shoes."
Parents drop off and pick up their child at their child's classroom door, but only teachers and students enter the classroom. This helps to minimize close contact and germ spread.
Teachers monitor students for temperature and symptoms to ensure early detection of illness.
All meals and snacks for students 15 months and up are provided in-house to minimize potential home to school transfer of germs.
We launder infant crib sheets daily, and cot sheets are washed twice a week to ensure a clean and cozy sleeping surface.
Our center's shared surfaces and spaces are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized throughout the day with deep cleanings happening each evening and weekend.
All toys, manipulatives, and equipment are systematically cleaned and sanitized throughout the day and between uses.
High priority is placed on frequency and proper technique of hand-washing upon arrival and throughout the day.
