A cultural celebration for the New Year is scheduled to begin soon in Chicago, creating a fun and memorable experience for area families to attend.
The Argyle Lunar New Year Celebration, which will be held on Chicago’s Argyle Street, has announced the date for the anticipated celebration, which will share with families in attendance a different culture and provide opportunities to create new memories with their children. Families can look forward to a full agenda suited for all ages, with several children’s activities planned.
The main event of this year’s celebration will be a parade, which will be accompanied by games and activities, along with performances that attendees can stop and witness. It will foster a family-friendly environment that is suitable for children in daycare in Chicago. For families with children in daycare in the area, such as Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview, the celebration marks an opportunity to build closer bonds to start the new year.
Other activities during the Lunar New Year celebration will include lion dancing, story time, crafting, and performances from CMAA Youth. There will also be a chance to win prizes from local businesses participating in or sponsoring the celebration.
Over 20 community groups are expected to take part in the event, and the bulk of the family-friendly activities will run from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
The Argyle Lunar New Year Celebration will be held on Argyle Street and Sheridan Road in Chicago on Saturday, February 21. The parade will start at 1:00 PM. Admission is free to all interested families.
