An exciting animal encounter is on the horizon in Chicago, and parents with little ones who love learning about nature and animals will want to save the date.
The Animal Encounters with Northern Illinois Raptor Rehab and Education has announced an upcoming session this month, inviting families with young children to attend and build a closer understanding and bond with nature. Those who take part will learn more about birds of prey that are native to Illinois, with experts allowing children to enjoy a safe, up-close and personal experience.
Experts on these birds will provide plenty of new information to help little ones learn, including children in preschool in 60618. The learning process will take a closer look at the biological tools of these impressive birds, including their tails, wings, feathers, pellets, and feet. Students will also learn more about the role of birds of prey within their ecosystem.
Animal Encounters can be an interesting way for children enrolled at Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview to bond with their parents over their love of animals.
In addition to the event, attendees will enjoy access to the host museum and all of its active exhibits for no extra charge. Those exhibits also include the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven.
The event will be held on Tuesday, March 23, from 11:00 AM to noon. The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in Chicago will host the learning experience. Tickets can be purchased online, costing $30 per adult and $25 per child.
