The end of summer is quickly approaching on the north side of Chicago, but the Roscoe Village community is organizing an event to keep local families on the go.
The Chicago Kidical Mass Free Family Bike Ride, a community event, is gearing up to welcome children and their families for a fun and leisurely bike ride in the great outdoors. The event is part of an ongoing series that features a bike ride in Roscoe Village each month, providing parents with a memorable way to build bonds with their toddlers and children after picking them up from us at Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview.
The riding series is part of the greater Chicago Family Biking movement, which offers education and encouragement to help local families ride, catering to children of all ages. The group also uses its outreach programs to advocate for enhanced cycling infrastructure to promote safety and health. The monthly event is an excellent way to supplement summer camp in Chicago.
Parents with toddlers are welcome to ride with their little ones as passengers, as the event is geared toward riders on two wheels rather than four. The monthly gathering also provides an ideal way to meet neighbors and make new friendships in the community, for parents and their children alike.
Participants in the Roscoe Village Kidical Mass community bike ride will meet at the Audubon School, located on North Hoyne Avenue, at 10 AM on Sunday, September 7. The ride will proceed rain or shine.
