At Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview, we understand the difficulties of balancing a growing career with raising children, and our preschool is equipped to provide peace of mind while laying the foundation for your young one’s education. Our preschool program is open to children aged 2 to 3 years old.

We strive to provide convenience through our hours of operation, which span from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Parents can drop off or pick up their children at any time during our operating hours. Which allows your family the flexibility you need.

Wanting the best for your child shouldn’t end when they leave home, and our preschool in Chicago works to ensure students in our program have access to healthy meals and snacks provided by Healthy Organic Kids. The meals are served in a family-style setting to create positive eating habits that carry over to the home.

Enrolling your young ones in our preschool program will help them gain exposure to the Experience Curriuculm, a a standards-based curriculum that combines hands-on learning experiences with hands on learning activities, play prompts, and more with fun monthly themes.

The program is supplemented by weekly enrichment programs available at no additional cost.

Students participate in weekly, Spanish lessons, and class with Lil’ Sparks Soccer!. The purpose is to give children opportunities to have a multi-cultural experience and expand their language development, and work on motor skills in fun and exciting ways.

We understand that safety is the top priority of parents in Chicago. We go the extra mile at Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview to give parents peace of mind that their children are in good hands.

Security measures include locked exterior doors with a KISI keyless entry system for authorized staff and parents, video monitoring in shared spaces and classrooms, and trained and certified staff members and caregivers. All of our staff members are trained in first aid and CPR, and all go through vigorous background checks.

Through the Brightwheel app, parents can stay connected with caregivers throughout the day with live updates, activity logs, and photos of their children. It is also a proper medium for caregivers to communicate directly with parents for a transparent learning environment.

Our preschool in Chicago is NIPSA-accredited, reflecting our commitment to excellence in early childhood education. It showcases the integrity of our program, importance of security, an impressive curriculum, and the quality of our staff.

An Early Start to School Success

Utilizing the Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum, our educators develop standards-based learning environments designed around rich themes of interest. Early reading, writing, and math readiness skills are introduced within a hands-on experiential setting. Learning Without Tears is also introduced at this point, providing additional early exposure to the building block of future learning.

Daily Artistic Activities Let Their Creativity Shine

Daily classroom activities include music, dramatic play, and art. Your child’s budding creativity blooms with singing, dancing, painting, and artistic expression that allows them to explore their passions while they learn and grow.

Healthy Family Style Meals

We subscribe to the family-style meal concept, which allows teachers and children to eat together in a relaxed environment. Our catering company, Healthy Organic Kids offers refined meal plans exposing your child to a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables while helping in the development of a healthy and varied palate.

Regular Communication Updates

We understand the importance of communication so parents always feel engaged, informed, and connected to their child’s day. In combination with our classroom Daily Charts which track your child’s eating, sleeping, and bathroom habits, use of the Brightwheel parent communication app also allows teachers to share photos and anecdotal snippets each day.

Added Support for Parents

We’re here to help with all the little things, so don’t worry. Once your child shows signs of readiness, we guide parents through the potty training process. In the meantime, we provide all diapers, wipes, and ointments as well as lotion and sunscreen.

Safety Comes First

The health and safety of our students is our highest priority. Staff members are kept up to date on their first aid and CPR trainings. Our locations are safe and secure featuring monitored and recorded security cameras. All exterior doors are locked for added safety, and use of KISI Keyless Entry System allows only for the entry of families and authorized staff members.

How do you support my child's growth in the preschool classroom?

Preschool at Kids’ Work uses the Experience Curriculum to guide daily activities across key developmental areas including math, writing, communication, sensory exploration, and social-emotional learning. Each day is structured to give children consistency while encouraging independence through self-help routines and community tasks. Teachers track individual progress and adapt activities to support each child’s growth.

What is the toilet training process in preschool?

We believe in a close connection between home and school throughout the toilet training process. Parents begin at home so children are comfortable before transitioning to school. Teachers work with families using a Kids’ Work Potty Training Packet, scheduled bathroom practice, and ongoing communication to create a supportive team approach between parents, teachers, and child.
