Self-driven art session to inspire creativity in Chicago

Elementary School-Ready

A summer art experience for children is coming to Chicago, giving parents who want to keep their little ones busy and stimulated something to look forward to.

The Kid’s Open Studio, which is being put together by the Elliott Rayner Studio, has announced the date for parents to mark on their calendars, as a self-driven art session meant for children in kindergarten in Chicago is getting ready to put tickets on sale. The session will provide participating children with all the necessary supplies for collages, painting, or printing.

Aprons will also be provided to protect clothing and eliminate potential messes for parents. Children attending Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview can show off the skills they’ve learned through the program’s enrichment programs while bonding with parents and caregivers. The purpose is to allow little ones a setting where they can build confidence while exploring their creative and artistic ideas and skills.

Attendees will rotate from station to station, with areas including stamping and fabric art along with painting. It can be a safe setting where little ones can discover new passions, and parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate with their child.

The Kid’s Open Studio session will be held on Saturday, August 8, running from 10:00 to 11:15 AM. It will be held at Elliott Rayner Studios on West 18th Street in downtown Chicago. Free parking will be available along Stewart Avenue. Parents who wish to make reservations can do so online on July 16th at 10:00 AM.
