Baby expo to educate expecting parents in Chicago area

An Extension of Home

Expecting and new parents in the Chicago area will want to save the date for an upcoming educational event focused on families with children between 0 and 12 months.

The Baby Expo for New and Expecting Families has announced the official date for the educational gathering, which is being organized by Collaboration for Early Childhood. Families are invited to the Bellwood area to enjoy a resource fair that can connect expecting parents with the tools necessary for a healthy upbringing for their children.

Those resources include a schedule of workshops that parents and caregivers can attend to learn new parenting skills or hone existing ones. Parents can also meet representatives from programs for daycare in Chicago to get more information on their curriculum and facilities. Park districts, libraries, and other local organizations are expected to attend. The experience can give parents confidence in their decision after enrolling their children at Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview.

Parents can expect to connect with experts on parent support and mental health to provide a practical roadmap of infant development. Other areas of emphasis will include physical health and development, recreation, food and nutrition, recreation, and early intervention. Families who are considering attending can find a full list of resource tables for the event online to maximize their time and ensure the best experience.

The Baby Expo for New and Expecting Families will be held at Roosevelt Middle School in Bellwood, Illinois. It is a one-day event that is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Interested families can make reservations online, and admission is free of charge.
