Parents who wish to get a headstart on their back-to-school preparations are in luck, as a fair will host Chicago families as the end of summer draws closer.
The Chicago Kedzie Back-to-School Fair, which is being put together by the Matanky Realty Group, has announced the official date to ensure that families can build the experience into their plans. The event’s aim is to help parents and their children start the school year on the right foot while providing fun and reducing stress.
The experience will be held in the West Humboldt Park neighborhood, bringing planning and resources to parents. It is sponsored by the Chicago Police Department and the West Humboldt Park Development Council, and it’s an ideal opportunity for children who are preparing to start kindergarten in Chicago.
In addition to free giveaways, children who stop by can enjoy pony rides, medical exams, free haircuts, games, activities, and refreshments. Parents considering preschool in Chicago can attend events like this with their little ones to make the back-to-school transition more positive and manageable. The structured and warm learning environment at Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview also works to support that transition for students and their families.
The experience will be capped off with the world-famous Jesse White Tumblers performing live and in person. It will be a family-friendly environment where all are welcome.
The Chicago Kedzie Back-to-School Fair will be held at 800 North Kedzie Avenue in Chicago. It’s scheduled for Sunday, August 2, with the gates opening at noon and the fair running until 4:00 PM. Families can make their free reservations online ahead of the event.
