An educational safety course is opening enrollment in Chicago this winter, teaching parents the finer points of safe installation and use of car seats when transporting their little ones.
The Baby on Board: Infant Car Seat Safety course, which is being organized by Weissbluth Pediatrics Northwestern, is encouraging Chicago parents to sign up to ensure safe transportation and travel with their children. Attendees will learn everything there is to know about installing car seats to gain experience and become more comfortable with the process.
The tips taught in the course can provide parents with peace of mind when running errands with children in the car or preparing the young ones for drop-off at Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview. It’s also a fantastic learning opportunity for soon-to-be parents who plan on using daycare in 60618.
The class will be led by a certified instructor, and the tips will cover safety selection, location, direction, installation, and harnessing. It is an ideal learning opportunity for parents with children under two years old.
The class will be open to any parents who are interested in gaining more information, and it will include a question and answer segment to cover common questions that attendees may have.
The Weissbluth Pediatrics Northwestern Location on North Michigan Avenue in Chicago will be the host site for the Baby on Board car seat safety course. The course is scheduled for Thursday, February 12th, and will take place from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. Registration is free and open online.
