Parents with children in Chicago who have a love of nature will want to take note of an open exhibit at a local zoo that sheds light on the beloved bottlenose dolphin.
The Brookfield Zoo will be running an experience through to mid-November with the goal of helping little ones in the area learn about dolphins from experts in a fun and engaging setting. Young ones who attend the Dolphin Discovery experience will have the opportunity to connect with these agile mammals on a deeper level.
The show’s guide will introduce the audience to each dolphin’s personality while teaching more about their communication style. This could be an excellent experience for young ones in pre-k in Chicago who have an interest in nature and animals. Parents will likely enjoy the integration of technology at the show while being able to experience live demonstrations.
Footage will also be shown from the Brookfield Zoo’s Sarasota Dolphin Research Program in Florida, which is one of the world’s longest-running studies of wild dolphins in their natural habitats. Parents can use the show to help children discover new passions and build on what they are learning at Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview.
The show will run daily at 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM until Wednesday, November 19. The 11:30 AM show will not be held on Wednesday, October 29. Brookfield Zoo can be found at 31st Street and Golfview Avenue in Brookfield. Tickets are $8 per adult and $4 per child, and tickets are available online.
