Cirque du Soleil to deliver holiday performance in Chicago

About Us

Parents looking to enjoy a performance with their children that combines the holidays with a memorable artistic experience will want to mark an upcoming date on their calendar.

‘Twas the Night Before, a holiday experience that is presented by Cirque du Soleil, has announced performance dates at The Chicago Theater, giving Windy City families the chance to see holiday music and themes come to life through artistic on-stage performances. The show, which is suitable for children in kindergarten in Chicago and up, will be filled with displays of acrobatics performed by colorful characters that young ones will love.

The upbeat acts will also share Christmas stories, with the show itself based upon an iconic holiday poem, “A Visit from St. Nicholas.” The story’s plotline will follow a young girl who has become jaded and how rediscovering the spirit and magic of the holidays helps her heal. The performance can help parents in Chicago enjoy the holidays and discover new lessons outside of learning hours at Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview.

Parents who plan on attending with their children are asked to arrive early. The performance will not have an intermission period and is expected to last around 85 minutes.

The Chicago Theater on North State Street in downtown Chicago will be the host venue for the Cirque du Soleil production. It is slated to open on Thursday, December 11, at 7:00 PM. It will run on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, closing on December 28. Tickets are available online starting at $45 per attendee.
