Dancing and music series to keep Chicago children active

A local music venue is preparing to welcome Chicago kiddos to participate in an ongoing series that allows them to enjoy music while staying active in a safe environment.

The Wiggleworms series, which will be held at Gallagher Way, will be opening next week, providing a setting where parents can allow their little ones to enjoy exploration of music while making new friends. The series is open to children of all ages, making it an excellent way for children who are enrolled part time in programs like Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview to stay active when not in the classroom.

Parents are welcome to attend with their children to create new memories and happy experiences together. It’s a suitable way for children to build upon the musical enrichment opportunities offered through preschool and kindergarten in Chicago.

After the musical performance ends, attendees are welcome to stay for a child-friendly movie that begins at 11:00 AM and will be shown on the Gallagher Way video board. The host venue’s green space will be open, providing an area where parents can sit on a blanket with their little ones to watch the show. The opening day’s musical performers will be Laura Doherty and Rob Newhouse, followed by a showing of the classic children’s movie, Up.

Opening day is set for Tuesday, May 12 at 10:00 AM. Gallagher Way, located on North Clark Street in Chicago, will host the Wiggleworms series, which ends on Tuesday, September 28. Attendance is free and open to the public.
