Chicago’s children will have an opportunity to learn more about nature through a local museum this summer, creating a setting where knowledge and new friendships can grow.
The Creature Connoisseurs Day Camp is coming to the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum soon, and parents who want their children to build connections and a better understanding of nature are encouraged to register. It is being billed as a fun way for children to dive into the colorful world of nature and science with guidance from experienced educators.
The camp’s participants will enjoy both indoor and outdoor exploration at the museum, with many of the day’s experiences built around interactive exhibits. Parents can trust that their little one will build on the knowledge they are gaining through the curriculum at Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview while enjoying a closer look at animals native to the area and the ways in which they find or catch their food.
Educators at the camp will encourage enrolled children to take the lead, helping them build confidence and critical thinking skills that will benefit them as they grow and develop. Experiences include play and exploration in nature, art projects, and more. It caters to children between four and eight years old, making it a suitable option for children in preschool in Chicago.
The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, located on North Cannon Drive in Chicago, will be hosting the Creature Connoisseurs Day Camp. It’s scheduled for Friday, June 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Registration is open online and costs $105 per attendee.
