A children’s theater production is preparing to take the stage in Chicago next month, giving young ones and their parents a Halloween-themed play to enjoy.
The Woodland Creatures Halloween, presented by Corn Productions, is coming to a Chicago theater and bringing tales of autumn lore through adorable animal characters that children in preschool and kindergarten in Chicago will love. The plot follows several woodland characters on their Halloween Break from the “Monster-sory” school, as they plan a birthday celebration for their friend.
The show will capture the spirit of the spooky season in a way that is both entertaining and relatable for young audiences. Parents and their children can discover a love for the arts, in addition to the learning and growth they experience at Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview. The show was written and directed by Reina and Paul Kaufmann.
The excitement and comedy build as the woodland creatures try to balance a full schedule of exciting activities with the planning of their friend Wolfie’s birthday celebration. The young audience members can follow along through the twists and turns while learning valuable lessons along the way.
No outside food will be allowed into the host venue for the show, which is scheduled to air on weekends throughout October. Each show starts at 11:00 AM, and the theater will open 20 minutes before the production begins. It will be hosted by the Cornservatory Theater on North Lincoln Avenue in Chicago. General admission tickets start at $8 per person online.
