Local musician to help Chicago children learn about music

A Fun-Filled Indoor Playspace That Keeps Them Moving

A Chicago musician is using his knowledge and positive personality to help local little ones gain an interest in music, with the ongoing series continuing through winter.

Tunes with Tim: Kids’ Music Class, a musical learning experience for young children, has announced the class schedule for next month, allowing parents in Chicago to begin planning their upcoming agendas. The event, which requires adult participation with their children, is geared toward children ages three months to four years.

The class is led by Tim, a musician with a wide repertoire of songs he can play and sing, ranging from The Beatles to classic nursery rhymes that span generations. He uses the songs to inspire parents and their children to sing along, play, and discover a love for music. Children enrolled at places of learning like Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview can deepen their knowledge through enrichment activities, including music classes such as these.

The class will teach students the basics of melody, rhythm, harmony, and tempo. It is an interactive class that is an excellent environment for children in infant daycare in Chicago and older, and can help them develop social, cognitive, physical, and creative skills. Participatory instruments will be provided by Tim in the classroom.

The Tunes with Tim – Kids Music Class will be held at 1624 North Halsted Street in Chicago. The class size is limited to 24 students and parents, and interested families should make reservations in advance. Upcoming sessions have been scheduled for every Thursday and will run up until 19 March, from 9:30 to 10:15 AM each day. Registration is open online for $35 per student.
