A Chicago zoo is gearing up for the holidays in a colorful and creative way, providing a fun atmosphere for area families to explore and enjoy.
ZooLights, which is being presented by Invesco QQQ and ComEd, will open its gates soon to children and their parents for a fun way to explore a winter wonderland in Chicago. The event, which is considered one of the Chicago area’s favorite traditions, will bring the illumination of three million lights to create a magical setting for young ones to enjoy.
In addition to the millions of lights, families will get to see hundreds of different LED displays that bring back a sense of nostalgia for parents who attend. It is an ideal way for parents to connect with their young ones outside of daycare in Chicago.
Other features that will bring the zoo to life include a holiday light tunnel, an iconic Ferris Wheel offering views of the Windy City’s skyline, and access to a warm, cozy open fire. Hot chocolate will be available to stay warm, and children can roast s’mores and snack on churros. Families can use the zoo’s light display to create new memories after a week of learning at Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview.
The exhibit will be held at the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. It is scheduled to open on Friday, November 21, and close on January 4. Admission is free on Mondays, though tickets are still required. Tickets range in price from $7 to $12, depending on the day, and can be reserved online.
