An outdoor art festival is in the works in Chicago for this spring, providing a fun setting for parents with young children to indulge in color, creativity, and community.
The Northbrook Art in the Park festival has announced the time and place for this year’s gathering, allowing Chicago families to make their plans to attend. The festival will be held over the course of a two-day weekend, increasing the opportunities to explore the different works and meet with local artists in attendance.
The setting will be family-friendly, and art enthusiasts are welcome to bring their little ones, whether walking or in strollers. Over 80 artists are expected to attend, allowing youth who join their parents ample opportunity to witness demonstrations and cultivate an interest in art and creative pursuits.
Organizers have announced that the festival will feature a Kid’s Creation Station where younger attendees can participate in crafts and activities. Parents can use the festival as a fun way to build closer relationships with their children through activities they have learned about while enrolled at Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview.
The Creation Station and Kid’s Art Shop are suitable for children in daycare in North Center Chicago to find pieces to take home for their room. Village Green Park in nearby Northbrook will host Art in the Park, which will open at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 9. It will continue at the same time on Sunday, May 10. Admission is free and open to the public.
