A two-part ceramics workshop that is aimed at children will continue next month, allowing Chicago little ones to explore a new form of art and indulge in their creativity.
The Ceramics for Kids: Pinch Pot Pets Workshop will be continuing into February, offering parents with young children the opportunity to enroll and learn new skills. The series is being organized and hosted by Cam Studios Chicago, and is designed to provide a setting where children can build confidence and hone their creativity while making cute pinch pot pets.
The creative series is open to children of all ages, making it a suitable experience for parents to share with their children in daycare in Lakeview Chicago and the surrounding areas. Children who attend will bring a tiny ceramic companion to life across both parts of the workshop. The instructor will teach each child how to work the clay into the desired shape using the pinch pot technique.
Workshops such as this can augment the learning experiences children gain at places like Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview. Part One will focus on shaping the clay, while Part Two will follow the drying and firing process and allow children to paint and decorate their pinch pot pets. It is a beginner-friendly workshop, and all materials are provided.
Cam Studios in downtown Chicago will host The Ceramics for Kids: Pinch Pot Pets Workshop, which will begin at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 2. Parents and interested parties can enroll their children online for $37.39 per child, which covers both sessions.
