Parents in Chicago who want to gain new knowledge to ensure their little one’s safety are in luck, as a local pediatrics office is offering an infant safety class.
The CPR and Infant Safety: Weissbluth Pediatrics learning session has opened registration for a February class, allowing parents to learn from experienced medical professionals and promote their infant’s well-being. The event will feature discussions that center on child-proofing a home to promote safety, learning anti-choking techniques, and gaining experience with infant CPR.
It is an ideal class to help expectant couples and parents with infants recognize situations in which first aid is necessary, particularly for infant breathing and cardiac functions. Parents who participate can enjoy increased peace of mind when with their children outside of daycare hours at Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview, where staff are already up to date on their training.
The session will conclude with a Question-and-Answer segment, allowing the instructors and medical professionals to answer any lingering questions the attending parents may have. This is a recommended learning opportunity for families with children in daycare in Chicago, and friends and family are welcome to join and add to their existing knowledge for infant care and safety.
The CPR and Infant Safety: Weissbluth Pediatrics session will be held at Weissbluth Pediatrics, which is located at 1471 South Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago. It has been scheduled for Thursday, February 19, and will start at 6:00 PM. Interested parties, including existing and expecting parents, can reserve their spots in the workshop online. Registration is free.
