Chicago Cubs to create family-friendly Oktoberfest celebration

Baseball and German culture are set to combine in Chicago in a few weeks, providing families with a unique experience in Wrigleyville.

The First Annual Oktoberfest with the Cubs, a cultural celebration that is open to families with children, is getting set to welcome guests for an authentic Oktoberfest experience in Chicago. The event will span a weekend and have something for everyone.

Parents at the event will enjoy access to several beer tents carrying a wide variety of brews, including local and regional options. Attendees are welcome and encouraged to wear traditional Bavarian attire and participate in several fun themed contests.

The Oktoberfest will be a family-friendly gathering where parents can make memories with their children. Organizers have created a Kinderfest area that is suitable for children in kindergarten in Chicago and older.

This section will be open during daylight hours and feature child-centric competitions, seasonal crafts, exciting rides, and balloon artists. It is an ideal way to create core memories away from the learning that takes place at Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview. Visitors can expect to enjoy an event that is fun for all ages and in the spirit of the autumn season.

The festival will be held at the Toyota Camry Lot, located at 1126 Grace Street in Chicago. It is set to begin this Friday, September 19, at 4:00 PM, and will run until Sunday. VIP tickets cost $75, while general admission passes are $15 per person. Children 10 and under enter free of charge.
