Chicago museum announces upcoming family night event

A local art museum in Chicago has announced an upcoming event that is designed to bring families together for an evening of fun with their children, allowing for closer bonds and new memories.

The Family Night: Let the Games Begin gathering, which will be a recurring monthly program, is setting the stage for children and their parents to work together to create a memorable piece of art. It is being organized as part of the University of Chicago’s Year of Games, and participating families will work together to create a board game that is unique to them.

The creative event is open to interested parties of all ages, including children in daycare in Lakeview Chicago and the areas that surround. The families will consider all of the creative aspects of designing the board, including the player pieces and the colors of different areas of the board. The session will be led by Stefan Barkow, a successful game designer. Barkow will be able to provide guidance and answer any questions families and their children have.

The creative event is an excellent way to supplement the learning opportunities children have at places like Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview. Registration is strongly encouraged for families who wish to attend the creative crafting session and set up memorable game nights for the future.

The Smart Museum of Art in Chicago will host the Family Night series, with the next gathering scheduled for Friday, March 13 at 4:00 PM. Tickets will be available online and are set to go on sale on Saturday, February 14.
