A production is getting ready to take center stage at a theater in Chicago, providing a fun opportunity for parents to surprise and bond with their children.
The Cornservatory Theater has announced an upcoming production that will be performed on three separate weekends this May, providing an entertaining way for local children to learn and discover new interests and passions. The show, which is titled My Teacher Is Marie Antoinette?, will take the audience into a classroom setting at the Corn Cob Academy where a substitute teacher will be leading the class session.
The play’s cast stars the Mademoiselle, along with four students who will have to decide if they want to play by her French rules or if the system should be changed. It will be a family-friendly production, and children of all ages are welcome, including those enrolled in daycare in Logan Square and other suburbs nearby.
Corn Productions, a local nonprofit, will be putting on, organizing, and promoting the performance, with the money raised supporting future plays for young audiences to enjoy. Seats are limited, and interested families are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. The play offers parents a memorable way to spend quality time with their little ones after a week of learning and growth at Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview.
My Teacher is Marie Antoinette? will be held at the Cornservatory Theater on North Lincoln Avenue in Chicago. Opening day is set for Saturday, May 2, at 11:00 AM. Tickets are available online, costing $14 for general admission, $12 for children over two, and infants attend for free.
