Christkindlmarket to share culture with Chicago’s children

Welcome To Grow With Me Drop-In Classes With Purpose!

The spirit of the holidays is around the corner in Chicago, providing new opportunities and shopping experiences for parents and their children to bond over.

The Christkindlmarket, which is being organized as part of the Winterland at Gallagher Way experience, has announced its opening date, giving parents with children the chance to begin making plans for a visit and shopping experience. The market will bring out the prominence of German culture and tradition, allowing little ones to learn more about how the holidays are celebrated in Europe.

The market is suitable for children of all ages, providing a fun break for parents with kids in daycare in Chicago. Children will get to see traditional striped candies, try German and other international treats, and pick out hand-crafted ornaments with their parents to decorate the tree with. Parents can also use this as an opportunity to get ahead with gift shopping, as dozens of vendors are expected to be at this year’s market.

The environment will be welcoming, warm, and suitable for young ones of all ages. Children can use the market to get into the holiday spirit while learning more about the world, supplementing the knowledge they are gaining from Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview.

The Christkindlmarket will be held at Gallagher Way on North Clark Street in downtown Chicago. It is scheduled to open on Sunday, November 23, at 11:00 AM, and will run all the way through to New Year’s Eve. Admission is free to all interested parties.
