One of the nation’s most famous art festivals has announced the date for this year’s installment, which is opening its gates to families in Chicago.
The 2026 Gold Coast Art Fair is coming to Grant Park’s Butler Field this June for a two-day celebration of the arts and the brilliant creators who bring them to life. This year’s experience will be the 68th annual fair, and the proceeds will benefit WINGS Program Inc. It is being billed by its organizers as the “Granddaddy of American Art Festivals,” with over 200 juried artists committed to attending and sharing their latest works.
These artists will be coming to Chicago from all across the United States, with attendees getting to see sculptures, paintings, jewelry, ceramics, and mixed media. Parents can sign up for the fair’s paint and sip experiences, while The Kids Art Zone provides fun activities for little ones who are enjoying a day out similar to what they’d experience at summer camp in Chicago.
Activities will include sand art, giant bubbles, and face painting, making it a fun setting where parents can indulge in creative activities with their children and see first-hand the skills they are learning in Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview’s classrooms.
The 2026 Gold Coast Art Fair will be held on the weekend of Saturday, June 20, and Sunday, June 21, with the gates welcoming visitors at 10:00 AM. The address for the site is 235 S. Columbus Drive in Chicago. Tickets can be reserved online for $12.51 per person.
