Kids’ Fest announces summer fun for Chicago’s children

About Us

Parents who are looking for a way to keep their little ones busy this summer will want to make a note in their planners, as a children’s festival is coming to the Chicago area.

The Kids’ Fest 2026 at Wampum Lake has announced an exciting day of exploration, creativity, and fun for Chicago’s little ones, giving parents the peace of mind of a safe event where their children can play and make new friends. The camp is in a setting that offers attendees a way to connect with nature through exploration, presenting an immersive learning experience that is a memorable supplement to summer camp in Chicago.

Organizers are aiming to provide a sun-soaked experience where parents can build stronger bonds with their children through shared activities and memories. It’s a great change of pace for these parents to spend time with their little ones outside after a week of discovery at Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview.

The day’s activities are suitable for children of all ages. Interactive exhibits will teach them about the nature around them and the wildlife that makes ecosystems work. Crafting activities will allow each child’s creativity to show and grow, and the Adventure Zone will give visitors the opportunity to enjoy Wampum Lake via canoe after some time at the archery range.

Kids’ Fest 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, July 11, and will run from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Wampum Lake in neighboring Thornton is where it will take place. Registration is open online, and parents can sign their children up for free.
