Fire department raises funds for Chicago Children’s Museum

Camp Kids' Work

A grand event is being organized in the greater Chicago area for this May, bringing families closer with those who protect and serve for a good cause.

The Touch a Truck Family Festival will be opening soon, granting access to families who want to participate in Glenview’s largest event of the season. Organizers have announced that over 40 vehicles of all kinds will be open to children who wish to explore and climb over them.

Children of all ages are welcome at the fundraiser, which has announced that it will donate the proceeds to the Kohl Children’s Museum of Greater Chicago. The money will be used for future exhibits, community outreach projects, and other programs that benefit children in daycare in Chicago.

In addition to access to display vehicles, little ones can enjoy the event’s train rides, face painting station, and other activities. Parents can use the event to have fun with their children after a week of them learning and playing at Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase to guests for a comfortable visit. The day’s events will be backed by live music performed by local bands and artists to keep the fun energy flowing.

The Touch a Truck Family Festival will be held at the Northeastern Illinois Public Safety Training Academy on Patriot Boulevard in nearby Glenview. It is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, starting at 9:30 AM. VIP tickets are $60 per person, while General Admission costs $35 per person online.
