Chicago parents who wish to share their love of friendly competition and outdoor sports with their little ones will want to take note of a summer mini golf series in town.
The Wonder Woods Mini Golf series is preparing to kick off this week, giving Chicago parents a fun experience to enroll their children in this summer. The series is being organized and hosted by the Morton Arboretum, where the in-house design and exhibits team has created a unique mini golf course that is geared toward children four years old and over. It offers a sports-themed alternative to daycare in 60618 for parents with flexible schedules.
The course features immersive natural displays including massive mushrooms, bigger-than-life bugs, and acorns of extraordinary size. Participants can enjoy playing putt-putt golf with friends while learning more about the nature around them. It’s an immersive enrichment opportunity that can add to what students learn during the school year at Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview.
Scientific concepts will be shared with participants, including how tree rings can shed light on a tree’s life, and how scientists can use sound to detect decay in trees. The course has been crafted with accessibility in mind, ensuring an inclusive experience for all who want to play.
The Morton Arboretum, located on Illinois Route 53 in nearby Lisle, will host the mini golf summer series, which will now be open daily until Tuesday, September 22, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Parents are welcome to join their little ones. Tickets can be reserved online for $6 per child and $8 per adult for non-members.
