A summer live music series is coming to a Chicago area venue this summer, with the opening evening set to take place later this month.
The Arbor Evenings summer music series has been announced by the Morton Arboretum, with these relaxing outdoor evenings set to cater to families with children of all ages. The musical performances will run for two hours in a scenic area where attendees can set up lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy picnic dinners with their little ones. The experience is an ideal way to begin making core memories for parents with children entering preschool in Chicago.
Guests are welcome to bring sealed non-alcoholic beverages and outside food to the host venue, though organizers have arranged for food trucks to provide different options to add more flavor to the evening.
The inclusive setting provides plenty of space for parents and their little ones to dance and sing to the music. Lawn games will also be available away from where concertgoers are seated to provide an interactive activity for those who wish to stay moving. The opening act is late enough that parents can pick up their children from Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview and take them to enjoy the experience, with performances running until 8pm.
The Morton Arboretum in neighboring Lisle will host the summer concert series on Frost Hill. Opening night is set for this Wednesday, May 27, with R-Gang, a Motown tribute, taking the stage. Tickets can be reserved online, starting at $5 for children four and over, and $15 per adult. There is no cost for infants under three.
