A Chicago museum has announced the grand opening of a new exhibit geared toward helping little ones learn, and parents looking for fun summer activities will want to make a note in their journals.
The WhirlWind exhibit, which has been set up and hosted by the Kohl Children’s Museum of Greater Chicago, is welcoming families with young children for an immersive exhibit that is sure to offer a welcome break from the city’s summer heat. The exhibit is suitable for children of all ages, and it is designed to help little ones explore the capabilities of air and wind in a controlled and safe setting.
Children who visit the museum will also enjoy an environment that promotes collaborative play, helping them build social skills with their peers outside of the classroom at Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview. It will offer excitement, as little ones can track colorful balls as they’re pushed through tubes by the force of wind.
The exhibit also offers a chance for children to test and show off their skills, as they can attempt to balance a ball on a stream of air. Another notable activity involves making art with an air blower and shimmering colorful pieces. It is a welcoming setting for children who attend kindergarten in Chicago.
The museum is located at 2100 Patriot Boulevard in nearby Glenview. The WhirlWind exhibit is now officially open and will run until August 30. Museum tickets grant access to the exhibit. Tickets are available online for $20 for children and adults, and members enter for free.
