Chicago parents looking for a fun way to share the joy of autumn with their children will want to make a note in their calendars, as a themed painting experience has opened registration for this weekend.
The Pumpkin Painting Party at Unicoi Art Studio has opened enrollment to interested parties in the Windy City who want to explore or uncover their creative talents in a welcoming setting. The event, which is kid-friendly, can provide a memorable way for parents to help their children in preschool in Chicago discover new skills and a love of the arts.
Enrollees will create colorful pumpkins using a wide variety of artistic materials, including paint, feathers, gems, sculpting materials, and glitter. It is an excellent setting for budding new artists to build upon the enriching experiences they enjoy as part of Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview’s preschool program.
The course instructor will provide several finished pumpkins that serve as inspiration for children at the event, though independent young ones who participate are welcome to take their own approach to the design. The session is open to parents and children who register, as well as those who drop in, though drop-in participants will need to bring a pumpkin from home.
Parents are asked to stay at the host venue while their children finish decorating their pumpkins. The creative learning session will be held at Unicoi Art Studios on West Belmont Avenue in Chicago. It is set for this Sunday, October 12, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Tickets can be bought online for $30 per participant.
