Parents looking for a unique educational opportunity for their children will likely want to make a note, as a reptile exhibit is providing knowledge and fun experiences in Chicago.
The Reptiles Alive! exhibit is opening its doors to parents and their children for an immersive learning experience that focuses on reptiles from all corners of the globe. 20 live reptiles will be on display, and visitors will take a world tour in their journey to learn about each reptile and the habitat it lives in.
The tour will explore the ecosystems of the desert, ocean, rainforest and more, helping children discover a love and passion for nature. Two of the stars of the show are a colorful iguana from Cuba and a 14-foot python. Models and videos will demonstrate to visitors how reptiles live and find food in their native ecosystems.
The last part of the exhibit will look at the impact of human activity on reptile ecosystems, helping children develop empathy and build upon the foundation formed at Kids’ Work Chicago Riverview. The exhibit is at The Field Museum in Chicago, and tickets cost $8 per guest.
