Kids’ Work became Lindsey Smith’s home in 2013 when she started as an intern.
She loved her time at Kids’ Work so much that she asked to work more hours in the classroom, first becoming an Infant Assistant Teacher before quickly being promoted to Lead Infant Teacher and later Lead Toddler Teacher.
After two years of teaching, Lindsey transitioned into leadership as the Director of Kids’ Work.
Before her time in early childhood education, Lindsey worked in newspaper advertising and purchasing.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Public Relations from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, where she also studied abroad in Dún Laoghaire, Ireland.
After moving to Chicago, she earned her master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the Erikson Institute.
In her current role, Lindsey oversees programming—from enrollment and therapy coordination to marketing and community engagement—ensuring every aspect of Kids’ Work reflects the same quality and care found in its classrooms.
